About the List

To keep things fair, only one album from an artist could be included on this list. This was done in order to make room for a variety of essential vinyl records and to avoid any obvious bias. The list is also ordered randomly to give you a sense of the different types of music and genres that are available on vinyl. I opted not to include soundtracks so you will not find The Singles soundtrack or other classic music sound masterpieces. Lastly, the list includes a mix of newer and older albums in addition to some live recordings and studio albums to give you a sense of the timelessness of vinyl records.

Tips on Listening and Enjoying Your Vinyl Record Album Collection

If you’re new to the world of vinyl records, there are a few things you should know before you start listening. Here are our top tips:

Enjoying Your Vinyl Record Album Collection

1. Make sure your turntable is set up correctly. This includes ensuring that the turntable is grounded and connected to quality phono preamp.

3. Be careful when handling your records. Hold them by the edges and avoid touching the surface of the record.

4. Store your records properly to avoid damage. Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

5. Clean your records regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Don’t use harsh chemicals or cleaners as they can damage the surface of your records.
