Here at RabbitHoleMusic.com.com it is a one-man band, aka me, putting everything together. First let me express my appreciation for you taking the time to visit us and put up with my non-stop rambling about some of my favorite artists. You are truly the star of the show for being able to put up with me.
I felt it would be helpful to give a little background on myself and what the rabbit hole is all about. First, about me. I am what you would consider an avid and eclectic music super fan with what some would refer to as unhealthy obsession for all things audio. I have been buying, selling, and trading everything from including vinyl records, reel to reels, cassette tapes, compact discs and digital for over 30 years. During this time, I have been able to enjoy and compare a wide selection of releases on a variety of different formats and releases. Hopefully I can share some of this experience with you and if I am able to introduce you to one new artist or song then I feel I am doing my job.

To address the elephant in the room (hey, there is no room for elephants in the rabbit hole) I will preface my preference for formats leans heavily towards vinyl. I state this up front as I know a lot of us music lovers sway heavily towards a certain format and will fight tooth and nail defending it. I prefer vinyl for a lot of releases simply because it is what I grew up on and never moved away from it over the years. I can and do appreciate a variety of formats and especially enjoy the portability factor that vinyl cannot match.
LOVE WHAT YOU DO. DO WHAT YOU LOVE
The reason for the site is two-fold. One is to help me document some of my notes I have collected offline through years of collecting. I have no idea how many records I have encountered over my life, but it must be in the 6 digits. Probably at the height of my collecting I had around 20,000 records in my collection (I am currently down to a smaller collection of about 3,000 favorites with a lot more room to move around in my basement).
I was able to get a lot of rare records around the time everyone thought vinyl was on the way out and record stores were closing left and right. On several occasions I would travel out of state with a large truck and to buy all the inventory of a store closing. From there, take it home to catalog the collection. After everything was catalogued, I would keep records I wanted for my collection and resale the remainder to friends and other stores. I have never owned a music store but have spent a lot of time in them. (Ah music stores, where I always seem to leave with a lot more friends but a whole lot less money).
The second reason for our site is to provide the community of Rabid Rabbits (yes, I feel this is most fitting for our Rabbit Hole Music community) with a resource to find music information and discover new artists and songs. I know in the past I have always appreciated when a friend has turned me onto a great new artist I probably would have never heard, I hope to offer the same to you by providing quality, honest music reviews and news. I try my best to keep news and reviews short and to the point by providing them in what I feel is a nice and digestible format. I know I personally cannot stand trying to find some information about a new release and 90% of the sites I visit are sponsored or just lists a track list with a bunch of advertisements. Although I know we will never have the most news or reviews, I do hope that we can provide you with what you are looking for, hence the tagline, No Fluff, All Ears. Again, thank you for taking the time to visit us and I am excited to share the journey down the music rabbit hole with you.
All the Best,
The Staff at RabbitHoleMusic.com (aka me)
