Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, also known as “Adele,” was born May 5, 1988 in Tottenham, London to Brenda and Mark.

In the UK she is well known for being a singer/songwriter who has captivated audiences around the world with her soulful voice. Her first two albums titled 19 and 21 which received much acclaim from critics and music lovers for her vocal talent. Her second album went to number one in Canada, Ireland and the UK. Adele won a number of awards including three Grammys Awards in 2012 for Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal album at the 55th Grammys Awards.

She was also nominated for six other awards which included Best New Artist. However, it was Adele’s single “Rolling in the Deep” that garnered her record number of nominations.

With her first two albums, Adele won a total of six Grammy Awards. She has received one award for public service from The Recording Academy as well as being honored for her work on LGBT issues.

Adele has followed up her first two albums with the popular ’25’ featuring the ballad “Hello” and the 2021 release ’30’ with lead single “Easy on Me“.
